Hi! Welcome to the pupils' section.  Here you can find some general information on school councils, why it’s a good idea for you to have one, and who should be involved. We’ve also included some input from young people - mostly in the form of case studies -  to help you develop your school council and keep it going.

On the What? and How? sections of the site you can access case studies to show what great things school councils in primary, secondary and special schools across Wales are doing. We’ll be adding to these all the time so don’t miss out on the chance to get your school council up there too. Maybe you could send us some photos as well, with the permission of all involved first.

Whatever you need, this site had been designed to support you during every stage of the progress of your school council. Don’t hesitate to post questions and queries on the FAQ if your school council is in need of a little help.

Most importantly, enjoy the site! We hope it will become of great use to you in the coming months. You can get in touch with other young people who, like you, are playing an active part in their school community by using the discussion boards.
